Thanks Julie and Karen but what I want is the screen split down the middle with my stuff on one side and and contacts on the other. I have been switching between screens but it is taking ages as there are 100´s of names to verify. I know it is possible as once someone did it for me and it was so easy to check stuff. |

I´ve worked out the sizing and tile bit, but I can´t seem to open BOTH trees. If I open mine then the contacts, their´s is just there instead of mine. This is prob. obvious but how do I open both trees together? |

Haha, I cheated a bit and just used two laptops. I was fed up of flicking between the two, and all the tabs got me so confused. It saved me so much time though. |

What a good idea, prob is that I work from satellite and don´t know if it would sustain another PC. coverage I get now is about 40 minutes out of every hour. But having actually seen this done before and how great it is to see both trees together I am determined to keep fiddling about with it. |

ok, if you want to open two trees at the same time, depending on which internet explorer you use, if you have tabs at the top on the Genesreunited page, right click on my tree and choose open in new tab or new window, then again on same page, open in new tab or new window, you will then have two of your own trees open and you can keep yours on one tab/window and choose another from the list in the other one |

There is an easier way to do this, click on my family tree, minimise window, go to contacts click on view other persons tree, another smaller window opens you should then see both trees at once if you then maximise the original one. |
