Hi Mike,

Ignore my last look-up request (Richard and Letitia Pool and their children) - I've just realised I asked the same thing on one of the old threads, and I don't think you were able to find anything.

Sorry about the duplicate request.

Yes, you'll need someone with the burial index for those, because the Welford Road records begin in 1849.

Hi Mary,

Thank you very much for the lookup, the 2 Anns you have found are a bit younger than I am looking for. There are a couple from FreeBMD that I have found that could be promising if anyone has a Leicester burial index and would be kind enough to let me know the ages if they are listed

Deaths Sep 1843 (>99%)

CONWAY Robert Leicester 15 73

Deaths Dec 1845 (>99%)

CONWAY Ann Leicester 15 89

I've just had a quick look in the Welford Road cemetery index - there's no Robert Conway, but two Anns: one from Green Street died 1865 aged 49, and one from Bedford Street died 1866 aged 19. Do either of those sound promising?

Hi all,

Would anybody please be able to do a look up for me in the Leicester burial index (not GRO) for Robert Conway and Ann Conway. The timeframe I am interested in is 1810 to about 1865

Thank you in advance

Elaine,

Wonder if the Snaiths you know are related to the one that married my Jane Butler?

Thomas Snaith married Jane after the death of her husband John. Thomas and Jane had one son James who appears to have died young. By 1861 they are living in London Road, but in 1843, they are living at 56 Belgrave Gate running the Chemist/Druggist business started by John Butler.

Have found a couple of directories that show Snaith, a Cabinet Maker, in Belgrave Gate - one lists a John - could that be a father/brother of Frederick?

Wonder if Thomas was related to the Cabinet Makers? Hadn't realised it before but the location would certainly fit!!
