Just send them an email Margaret. Id certainly expect to be able to view Ireland if my sub included it.

Old Crow - I think most of us are more than happy with our subs to ancestry - I never look at the trees on there, just use the census and historical records.

Andy, I won't argue the point.

Gt.Britain doesn't exists anymore.

It's now the United Kingdom & Northern Ireland.

Either way it deviates fiom my oiginal posting.

I'm sorry Margaret but
Great Britain = England, Scotland and Wales
UK = Great Britain + Northern Ireland

Stuart,

Briton, Britain, Gt. Britain, the British Isles, the United Kingdom - they're all different.

The United Kingdom - England and Scotland.

Wales was a Principality.

Ireland?

Personally I would not want to pay a subscription to Ancestry. There is some really ridiculous misinformation on some of the trees.

Margaret

Have you queried it with Ancestry?

Angela, I'm not sure anymore - Northern Ireland, though British is not part of the United Kingdom. I discovered just recently that Wales is no longer a Principality!

All that aside, Ancestry states UK and Ireland but I can't access 'Ireland' without paying extra.

Surely Northern Ireland is part of the UK. 'Ireland' must be Southern Ireland, so should be included in the subscription?

UK and Ireland?

I pay to Ancestry on an annual fee. According to 'My Account' my subscription is for U.K. and Ireland.

When I attempt to access the few records that Ancestry have on Ireland, I have to pay!
