Just goes to show that even the tiniest child makes a ripple in the world. How lovely some of the snippets of poems etc have been also, and lovely that Patricia is remembered.

Hi, Just been reading through the whole of 'A Sad Little Tale' part 1 and 2 and wondered if any of you know if there was a conclusion to this lovely, heartwarming story? Nicky

Am I missing something as nothing seems to have been written on this for a while, must admit have not been on here for a while!!

It would be great to hear of a conclusion

Hello Claire,
I'll contact St John The Baptist church hopefully this weekend and see if they have any idea's about adopting the grave. As you say perhaps the local Scout or Guide Group would be willing.

Hi All,
Recently I posted a letter which I hope will result in a reply via the stamp addressed envelope enclosed. To date there has been no reply but I remain hopeful that something may be forthcoming within the next few weeks. By that time it would be a month since posting.

So hopefully on receipt of a reply or in a fortnights time I should be in a position to write the conclusion to this tale.

May thanks to all who have contributed in help, support, time and finance in bringing this story to life.

Havent had time to read everything - but if you are still searching for William's demise - what about the Star and Garter. he may have been wounded badly and spent many years in a home which might account for Henrietta not marrying until 1962. Alternatively here is a thought. The man Henrietta was living with might have been married before, and he might have been waiting for his first wife to die. This happened in my family. My grandparents didnt marry until they were in their 60's because my grandfather's previous wife was still alive and he never divorced her. Just a thought!!

I just had a look at the webpage, what a wonderful job everyone did in finding out all the details.

I followed the story from start to finish, reading it bit by bit and to see it all on the website is just Fantastic to see and read the full story.
