HELP! MY NAME APPEARS IN BLACK AND NOT RED LIKE THE OTHERS-DOES THAT MEAN PEOPLE CANNOT CONTACT ME? Your name appears in black only to yourself as you have added the entry. All other members will see your name in red. So every member will see their own addition to a board with their name in black. Although your birth name will appear on our database to any other members for search purposes, for any other member to contact you about a relation in your family tree, we are using your current name, as this protects any maiden name information from another member until you are happy to give this. If you go to the "Your Name" area of the site and enter your message on the unique "Trying To Find Board" for that surname, then not only will your message appear for all other members who have the surname on their tree, but it will also automatically be added to the main "Trying To Find Board " on the site. |
