My paternal grandfather was always known as Mr F..... and in the 1901 census is listed under that name, as is the four children. However my father was shown with a different name on his Birth Cert and was married under that name. At the same time my grandfather on the same marriage lines is also shown with that name. In fact all the children were known by the second name. Does anyone know how I can find out how this came about? |
