In Southern Ireland the equivalent to Somerset House in England was burnt down in `1922 - anyone searching for relatives should visit the place of birth. I went to Ferns Co Wexford 4 years ago and within 2 hours I had traced all my fathers family many of them still living - all this from a graveyard - very detailed information in the churches and the graveyards. Hope this helps all those searching for S Ireland |
