My Grandfather was born "on the wrong side of the blanket" in 1896. He was raised by the Bailey family, whose name he took. My Mum seems to think his birthmothers name was Rigby. Question: Where do I go for imformation on a possible adoption or if no adoption took place, would his birth have been registered in his mothers name. Thanks to anyone who could help. |
