Marika Could a virus infection be one of the reasons why people have not been receiving e-mails? If they are blank I tend to delete them, thinking "that's odd!" or words to that effect and not bothering about it again. Someone once told me that if you do not recognise the addressee or the subject, or you are suspicious it might be best to be on the safe side and delete it - without opening any attachments. If it is genuine you would be contacted again, probably. I am not a computer buff as I only know what I have picked up along the way. Like yourself I ask for and take in all the help and advice I can get. I tend to rely on our Norton AntiVirus software as it has helped in the past by checking my e-mails, advising if they are infected and acting on them accordingly. I do not apportion blame on any addressee who unwittingly sends me an e-mail containing a virus, because I know that they are not the idiots who start it. Can anyone throw any light on this problem of blank e-mails. Vera Bromage, nee Anderson, Manchester, Lancs. |
