April Just thought I'd let you know that I followed up your lead about Michael HUMPHREY. I checked my downloaded records from 1837online and there is a Michael HUMPHREYS on the copy fiche for June Quarter 1871. It looks like that could really be the one so I will apply to the Manchester Register Office for the certificate. I think I must have been too blinkered before I started using this site and I have learned now to explore EVERY avenue and to try alternative names and spellings. Thanks again April. This site is marvellous - I was going to give up for a while but - NO LONGER!!! (I don't think I could anyway - what would I do without my daily 'fix' of genesconnected.!!!!) LOL!! Cheers to all those great people who have helped me. Regards Lynne Sale |
