WILLIAM Sorry about the delay but I have been out today. I do not know what to add about the procedure of stopping "THE NOISE" except: 1) My operating system is XP. 2) I just right clicked on the advert. 3) Then I removed the ticks - one at a time from Play and Loop. 4) Unfortunately, they do not stay cancelled! As has been pointed out by Lynne. 5) But fortunately, there is the hope that the web-master will succeed in stopping the nuisance at source soon. ALISON The noise does sound rather like chunks of one's hard drive are being demolished. Don't worry about feeling daft - I am a specialist in that department! Thanks for drawing attention to the problem. Bruce. |
