Paul Because I have to keep this hobby as cheap as possible, I downloaded the family tree software from the familysearch site. It's FREE and doesn't take too long to download and I find it easy to use. I'm sure some of the CDs you can buy do many wonderful things but when you're just starting out at genealogy you don't need anything too complicated (or expensive). It's Gedcom compatible which means you can create a file of your whole (or part) tree and then send it to anyone with compatible family tree software (almost all are) As a Yorkshire lass I say 'owt for nowt can't be bad!' |
