Carol Malkin "scrooge clicking" is a way of finding households on the 1901 census without paying--find a definite person by using person search, right click on their name, click on properties and jot down theID no. go to another name do the same --if you get consecutive nos they usually are the same family- a better way is to download a decoder- for instructions they are in the June issue of Your Family Tree mag( excerpts are on your home page) About your grandpa and his family if you find them on the 1901 census you can then look on the 1881 census , if they are on familysearch you can use the batch no system to find siblings If all this sounds too complicated give me some names places and dates and I will help while I'm waiting for my sugar soaped walls to dry prior to decorating my kitchen |
