I was daunted by the format when I first logged on yesterday noe the threads are up and running its much better it was just confusing to see all those names and not know what they posted! I think a message board is a great idea |

Much prefer the new layout. You can now see all the replies straight away. Chat board sounds like a great idea. |

I used to spend ages reading through the chat on the tips board just for fun and often found a tip that was worth trying. A general chat board would be great (in the old format), as I think that the tips board was being used as a chat board often anyway. Thank you for a great site, I used the link from friends reunited last month and I have since become an adict. Tracy, Brotherton, North Yorks |

I didn't like this at first but now you have removed one name and entered a topic it's beter and the more you use it I think the better it will become, because you'll get used to it.I think having anew chat page is a good idea for the one's that like to chat.DON'T GIVE UP. |

Stephen, don't give in. The threaded message board is an improvement technically over the old board. I think the main issue for me and others would be the presentation, it just needs a little tweaking here and there. I'm running at a high resolution and the font on the index is too small. Maybe you should loose the "date of last post" in favour of a new post indicator icon or some other space saving idea. Make the titles bigger compared to the names. Maybe even display the threading on the index using an indented format ala old style threaded message boards. |

Messages and threads stay forever (as long as the person who posted it doesnt remove it) Refresh - if you are reading a long thread then the refresh will just redraw the page and add any messages that may have been added while you are reading - just like the refresh on the browser really. |

You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time BUT you can never please all of the people all of the time. Keep up the good work |

Sorry April, I think I have sunstroke- what do you mean? And if new messages get added, like this one of mine, why would I have to click the refresh button. Also, how will this thread system work, cos if we change topics in our answer, how will other peple know, cos they will choose to enter based on the original message! |

I'm sure once they get going it will be an improvement. Monica refresh means that any new messages posted will be added. |

Dear stephen, thanks for all the effort, I am sure it will be better when we get used to it--- I have played around and pressed everything, but still cant work out what the refresh is for- any chance of an explanation somewhere on the first page? And yes a general chit chat board sounds like a great idea. By the way do the threads stay for ever or do they get removed if there is no interset in thet thread? |

I personally think that the new way is an improvement, but I suppose that would stop the complainers! Keep up the good work, you can't please everybody!! |

Ok - so we got loads of requests asking for threading and did it and now we get people complaining that we did. Can't win. The tips and guestbook need a way that people can set and answer questions - it makes it much easier. How about we add a members board in the old format that people who just want to chat can use. |
