Someone asked a few days ago what the occupation GENTLEMAN would be. I have just found the info on the scotlandspeople site - gentleman, a well to do man of no occupation! |

my 2 x great grandfather has on his marriage certificate Shoe maker (1862) but by the time his Will was written (1874) he was a "Gentleman" presumably he had made enough money to retire on.... Heather Bournemouth |
