What is the differnce between a nurse and a monthly nurse?

Clare, I believe a monthly nurse was employed to look after a woman in the first month after her confinement. The Genuki website has some very useful links including Occupations. Hope this helps, Regards, Beryl, Co.Durham.

Thanks Beryl, that makes sense. The only thing i could think of was to do with womens monthly problems!
