Does anyone know if anyone called John can be called Joseph? On the 1881 a relation is down as being Joseph but on the 1901 census he is down as John. The details fit but the names don't. Just wanted to check. Thanks Jess |

Jessica you are a Lifesaver, I was stuck trying to find my ancestors marriage as there was no record of a John Deakin( see family bible thread) I had tried everything. Read your message went to staffs BMD site put in Joseph instead of John and found the record. So in reply to your query ,it must be. You dont know how much this has helped me THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU:):) |
