I have just returned from a sucessful few days holiday in Devon during which time I visited the Devon Record Office in Exeter. Very helpful, I'd recommend a visit if you have Devon ancestors. I was looking up the burial records and found a husband and wife (not proven immediate relations - yet!) who were "certified according to act of parliament". Please can anyone tell me what this means? He was buried 20 May 1920 and his wife on 5 Nov 1920 (if the year is significant)......... Sue Seldon.............. Langley Vale...............
