Can anyone advice me please.I keep getting a window flashing up on the screen saying "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX,this page may not display correctly".Its only when l'm GC pages.Across the top it says"Microsoft Internet Explorer". I did click on it onece and it showed a page for me to register with at $50,is this another ploy to get me to sign up for something???? Thanks - Jude Heather |

It means your privacy setting are prohibiitng active X some text appears unformatted and some movies wont run its not a problem and if you change your settings you get loads of annoying pop-ups! |

Hi Judith, Be careful opening ActiveX controls - some web sites won't work without this protocol. However, unless the site is secure [shows https in address bar or a closed padlock in taskbar] beware - can leave you open to a hacker. I got caught out a few months ago, despite having the latest Norton anti-virus and firewall. Hcker got my credit card details and used them. |
