How do I find out if someone divorced in the early 1900,s.I don't know for sure,but I was unable to trace my g grandfather on the 1901 census,but I may have found him,but married to someone else!any help would be much appreciated. |

Barbara, It may be an error - my great grandfather appears on the 1901 with a wife called Elizabeth, 1891 Jane, 1881 Elishua - her birth name! I thought I had uncovered a well kept family secret - I was wrong! Good luck, Beryl. |

Thanks,Beryl,but he didn't marry my g grandmother until 1907 and I found her,so maybe I could be clutching at straws,maybe he was somewhere else,I don't know where! Thanks again. |
