I am extremely new to this family tree business and am just finding my feet. My problem is that i have e-mailed someone for a possible link and they have permitted me to see their tree, however i dont know how to do this. please could someone let me know as i am sure it is quite simple but i obviously dont have the savvy to work it out! thanks |

Linda, If you look under 'Your Contacts', it should have recorded you sending a message to this person concerning the link. Look for where it says, 'Do you wish to allow <name of person> to see your tree?' Click on the 'click here' link and this allows the other person to see your tree. regards, Andy. |

I read your message a different way to Andrew (I'm sure he probably interpreted your request correctly & I'm going off on a different tangent!) I read your request as not being able to view the tree you have been given access to - If this is what you need to know, then go to the "Your Home Page" link on the top left hand side of the screen, and you should then get a list of all the trees you can view in red, plus an option to view a list of their relatives (very useful if they have a complex tree with lots of names), or their tree. If I was reading your request wrong - take no notice of my reply!!!! Regards Maxine |
