Some people just join for free add a couple of people and then forget about it. |

It seems crazy that you pay your membership fee and then give up - what is the point if you don't answer people who may be of help? alison |

There is no way that I know of to tell whether a member is still active or has lost interest (or even died?). A quite high proportion of contacts go unanswered, though. |

There isn't anyway you just have to hope usually if the person has a lot of names in their tree they check the site and their mail regularly. Just keep your fingers crossed |

I am new to this site, but was amazed at finding my grand-dads sister listed almost immediately. I contactd the person who had posted her name, but as yet have not had a response. I know the relative is definately connected from details given by my mother which tie in. Does anyone know if there is a way in which you can tell if the person is still active on this web site? |
