William - yes you can PRO is great if you can get there - start with the book Tracing your Ancestors in the PRO by Amanda Bevan, from the Library, mine only had a ref. copy but got me a lending one within a few days - full of info on Military stuff. |

If you go on to the public record office site you can find out about lots of military records, you can get leaflets detailing them off the site, but to send for copies of actual records can be a bit pricey unless you know service numbers etc.Also try the commonwealth war graves site.Hope that's a bit of help Lynne |
