Thanks for your replies, it seems rather strange that this wasn't sorted out before thousands of people started entering thier family details. I wonder if they are thinking of adding the ability to link people already recorded? Does anyone know what happens to marring cousins when the info has come from a GEDCOM, it must be a bit of a mess. I don't think I'm going to add anyone else until there is a way to enter things correctly, I have just too many interconnecting branches of my family! |

Hi Sally In these circumstances what I tend to do is cross reference them in the name field, e.g. Smith[1] and then when that person married another add them as partner Smith[cousin 1]. If its not a common name in your tree you may not need to use the numbers - but they can help if it has happened more than once! Regards Maxine |
