I am going to spend the weekend at my Grandmother's house soon to go through the old photos with her. i also have copies of portraits of her mother and father that were taken around 1910. Prized posessions indeed! |

Agree entirely. I have also scanned and photcopied birth and baptismal certificates, which I had borrowed. Was able to copy on a colour photocopier which has given very good results. What an impressive collection you have! My oldest and most treasured is a photo taken in 1916 - on a postcard - of my gran, ggran and gg gran. Carol :) |

Don't forget the box of old photographs gathering dust in the attic! Try to put names to faces before everyone forgets who they are. We are scanning them all onto CD so all members of the family have what seemed like insignificant 'snaps' taken long ago then all the distant relatives have a copy. We are up to 800 so far. Now who was that man who looked remarkably like Edward V11........ Elisabeth |
