Hi, My grandad fought in World War II (British Army). He survived the war, so will there be any records of his service available? Is there anyway that I can find his service number etc. and retrieve any information on him? (he died in 1976). Rgds. Jason.

It will be possible, but easier if you have some information about which service, and regiment, rank etc. Try the PRO on line for help leaflets, or the Imperial War Museum may have somethig on its site.
