How would I go about searching for a relative who jumped ship in America about 1897? I know his name is Thomas Eke from Norfolk, he left behind a wife and son.The birth certificate of his son gives the name of the ship as HMS Royal Adelaide but that was a barrack ship that didn't go anywhere! HELP!!!! Do I need the Ships name or could I try the census? Anyone know of any good sites PLEASE? meryl |

Meryl, I have a similar problem with a ggrandfather who was born in America. You might want to look up a site I found which carries a lot of links. Might not help but you never know. http://english-america.com Marion |
