1891 census look up requests

Just tried again to get a free trial and was told that there is only one trial per person. What you need is a fist full of credit cards and a handfull of email addresses to confuse the system, unfortunately I only have one credit card and one email address. Guess that is it unless I fork out £70.00 Tracy

Tracey Probert has got it right. See Tracey's message earlier today. Terry

I have recently requested a look up on the 1891 census as I cannot afford to subscribe to ancestry at the moment. I have already used a free 14 day trial however I found that once I had used the free trial they will not let you have another using the same credit card details or email address. So unless some kind people are willing to help me with look ups I am stuck. Tracy, Brotherton YKS

Laura & Janet, Have been trying to get this free trial too without success, BUT i think i might have just found it! If you go to the Freecen site, on the left hand side there's an advert for 'search new database at Ancestry', click on it and it should get you a free trial! Good luck. Tracey x

I've just tried it to and didn't get the free trial offer. Maybe they've been inundated and have removed it rotten swine!!! Jan Gravesend, Kent.

I'm not getting that for some bizarre reason. I'll try signing up again with a different e-mail address and see if I have any joy. Don't want to pay the full amount as only want to do four searches! Anyone else can't get this free trial or is it just me?

Laura I logged onto ancestry (dot)co(dot)uk and the free trial was the first page that came up when I clicked onto 1891 census Margaret

Hi Margaret, It's not offering me this free trial as an option. Can you explain exactly how you went about it so I can retrace your steps. Can't understand why I can't find it on the site. Thanks Laura

Yesterday I helped a couple of people find ancestors on the 1891 census. I have a 14 day free trial on ancestry. Since then I think that this site has been inundated with requests for look ups for the 1891 census. If I can have a free 14 day trial then so can anyone. There is no problem with cancelling, just send an email. If I answered all of the requests, I would have no time to do my own research and would then lose my 14 days. I don't mind helping, but enough is enough when the info is freely available to anyone. Margaret
