I am having trouble loading a Gedcom file. do I have to delete my tree first as it says I cannot load in to just a 1 name file............ I have 59. Prize for the correct answer!!!!!!! A free look up on the 1861 census for East Yorkshire John |

Hi According to their instructions you have to delete the old tree first. Add your new names to your tree in your normal software, create a new gedcom file and then load that one. Have fun. Mike |

if it is any consolation I cannot load mine - it kept saying that the file name was incorrect - have given up at the moment as I am not that happy with the family tree package that I have and am looking for a new one. Unfortunately, although I did not have all my tree on GC what i did have has now been deleted anyway! Do I re input it or hope that I find another more user friend FT package and then try loading via gedcom again? |
