G.Grandmother in l901 census states born in west birmingham,stafford. BMD gives two names one in Walsall the other in Stoke. Geography not very good, which one would be classed as west birmingham. hope someone can help,thanks in anticipation. |

I agree that there's a good chance it should be West Brom. Walsall is just north of West Brom, she could have been born somewhere on the border. I have come across relatives whose birth COUNTY has changed from census to census only to find that the towns named are very close to eachother. My top tip - keep a road atlas by you when searching online!! |
