Most software programs have a feature to use another name like 'aka' (also known as) which may help. Having changed my surname by deed poll many years ago, I have both names showing in my tree, although I'm not entirely sure how GC shows it. Graham |

My great Grandfather anglosized his name around the time of the first world war ( he was German ). Should I list the original name as his surname or the anglosized version? Thanks Joe |
