Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Received my first marriage certificate from GRO this morning and am pleased as punch as I got the right people and have now a little more info. However, my gt gt grandfather was married before as it states the divorce on the certificate and I was wondering if a child could have been born within that marriage. To search for the divorced party via census's, how would her marriage status be shown as she would no longer be a wife and would she have kept her married name or reverted back to her maiden name?! Or shall I just order their marriage certifcate and get more information that way?! Confused - I am!! Helen

Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Yes, I do know the name of the first wife and ordered the marriage certificate online yesterday. I do not know how to trace when they divorced and what happened to her and any siblings after the event! I'm still very green!
