Samantha Your grandparents are probably still alive so ask them about their parents etc and work back from there. If you know when someone married you can get their marriage cert and that will give their father's names and their ages, then you work backwards using the websites (FreeBMD is a good one) to get their birth certs. You have to apply to the register office local to where they were married / born etc. Everyone on this site is really friendly and helpful so check out the links to the websites then come back here if you are stuck. I think it's great that you are interested at your age, I wish I had been, it would have been a lot easier if I'd asked questions! Lynne Sale CHS |

Go to "links" at the bottom left of the page, and try looking at the different web sites. Be warned this family tree stuff is very addictive!! If you get stuck with anything, try posting your queries on this tips board. Someone will usually help you. Good Luck!! Maggy |
