1881 census,where to find it

Brenda, I found this on the Freebmd site for the July-Sep period of 1891: William Buxton aged [56]0 Chorlton 8c 452 The 5 and 6 in brackets means the transcriber couldn't quite make out the figures and it could be a 5 or 6 but most likely a 5. If you assume he was 50 that would fit perfectly. Crista |

Crista Many thanks for the info. William was born in Manchester c1841 ,he was shown as age 40 ,on the 1881 census.I have been on it before ,but being new, did not note the addres down . Brenda |

Can someone please tell me if this is on line and if so where? Also on the 1901 census one of my names Elizabeth Buxton shown as widow,and on the 1891,she was married, to William Buxton,cannot find his death being recorded ,where has he gone? |
