My great grandfather, John Willis Brogden was born on board the El Compy SS "Janet" in the North Atlantic in 1859. I do not know in which direction his family was travelling although they were back in the UK within a few years. I have tried a couple of passenger list sites but without luck. There is no record of a birth certificate in the UK records either. Any suggestions about finding out more about his early travels? |
