The IGI entry you're looking at is bogus, at least partly. IGI does have an authoritative entry for the marriage: 18 Nov 1815 at St Mary's, Newington, Surrey, taken from film of the Bishop's Transcript of the parish register. Check it with the PR when you've got time The guessed marriage date of 1819 is based on there being a daughter Lucy born 1820, but actually it looks like there were two other kids before Lucy The birth part is more problematic. Anything that says "About 1792" is just a guess. When there's a specific date there's usually a source, but then again, when there's a source there's usually a place named. However, IGI does have an authoritative baptism record for a Samuel Bonner in 1789 in Essex, parents Matthew and Sarah, siblings Matthew, Sarah and William. Tying them up isn't easy. The full marriage entry in the parish register won't be too helpful but it will have witnesses, who might match up with parents or siblings
