Lisa Some adoption agencies will now write to adopted people (over 18) telling them that a member of their birth family is trying to trace them. Contact the social services and they will advise you. It's worth a try if you don't know the agency. Good luck. Lynne |

Hi I am looking for a Malcom Butcher or it might have been baker, my mother isnt that sure. He would be around mid 50's now and was given up for adoption by my grandmother in the 40's. Will social Services be able to help? What adoption records are there that i could view? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks Lisa |
