Paula Are you certain of her name? You did not mention a date or area so I did a general search on the FreeBMD. There is a Henry Housden married to a SARAH COLMAN in June 1840 Peterboro reg no. 15 497. Selina Colcombe did not come up on a search. Have you found the names on a census? Vera, Manchester LAN |

could anyone tell how to find out a name on a particular marriage cert? I have a Henry Housden in my tree who we thought was married to a Selina Colcombe but when my father tried to get a copy of the cert they wouldn't let him have it because it wasn't Selinas name on the cert. Does anyone think that this deserves another go at getting the cert as I think they may have got the cert mixed up with someone elses or was my Henry Housden a bit of a naughty boy?! Paula So'ton |
