Hello everyone. I would be sooo grateful if somebody could find my elusive PATRICK GALLAGHER, born approx 1856-1860, Ireland, with his wife MARY GALLAGHER, born Woolton, Liverpool, approx 1867. They were married in 1889 Garston, but don't appear to want to be found there in 1891! By the 1901 census, they were living in Salford, Manchester, with their 2 children, Mary and Christie. I only found them after many fruitless searches - I found them under Gollicker (Mary must have had a very strong scouse accent as I also found my grandfather Christopher registered under Gollaker, instead of Gallagher!). Don't know where they travelled to in 1891 but would desperately love to know, can anybody help me?? Thank you in advance. Carol |

Thank you Kathleen for your quick responses. I don't suppose it mentions where any of the family were born? Sorry to be a nuisance. My Patrick was a dock labourer at the time of his wedding in 1889, so this is very likely. If this is my family, Esther must have died in infancy, as she wasn't around in 1901, but seeing as though they were married in 1889, and the first living child I know of was born in 1893/5, this is probably right, I can't see it would have taken 4 to 6 years for their first born to arrive. Thanks, Carol |
