Anyone researching Salford/Manchester

Have recently found ggrandfather was born in Salford always thought he was from Yorkshire.He was baptised at Manchester Cathederal,his parents married there too.Have yet to find out where they were born.Interested in any tips or ideas for research in that area. Many Thanks Kathleen |

Kathleen Most of my ancestors were from Manchester and Salford. I have done most of my research online but have also visited the FRC and Manchester Central Library. Lynne |

Kathleen, have you tried Salford Local History Library at Peel Park, Salford? My family ended up in Salford and I found loads of information there. The Librarian is Tim and he knows everything there is to know! Best wishes, Carol. |
