Could anyone look for David Medley in Oldham Lancs. Head of house and his family. He has one son known. Edward possibly aged 15. Thank you Shirley. |

Cannot find David Medley, but have found the following Medley Household: Jacob, Head, 50, Gen Labourer Pricilla(?), Wife, 46, Dom Serv. Charles, Son, 18, Cotton Operative Edward, Son, 14, Cotton Operative Annie, Daur, 9 All born in Oldham, Lancs. Also boarding in the same house: Thomas Buckley, 24, Coal Miner Elizabeth Buckley, 24, Cotton Operative Pricilla Buckley, 1 This may be clutching at straws... |

Dear Sara I found the same family on 1he 1881 census. I thought they were my grandfathers family. But,when I sent for Edward and Mary Alice Howard's marriage certificate in 1899 his father was David Medley. Overlooker in a cotton factory in Oldham. Thanks for your help and the info. I will have to send for his birth certificate. |
