Is there some way to see the 1871 census? I have the family in 1881, the mother is a widow. I know the fathers name as I have one of the children birth certs. I can not find the marriage so would like to see the 1871 to work out roughly when he was born. Shelli |

Shelli Your best bet is to either visit the Kent county record office to see the census on microfiche, or to pay a researcher to do it for you if you live too far away. I paid a researcher to view the 1861 and 1871 for the Central London area. It only cost about £35 Cheaper than petrol and hotel bills. Margaret |
