Hi Maureen I am a regular at the Family record offices in Aylsebury. Here they hold all the census and parish record details for the county of Buckinghamshire. They also have old maps and books. You can view old newspapers on fiche and look at old books and photgraphs. The staff there are particularly helpful and will assist in any way they can. I suspect that this is probably true for the officials in other counties too. I hope you find what you are looking for - every office is well worth a visit for the enthusuasic genealogist! Alison |
