Karen, a Genuki site gives Wingate as being in Easington district, but the only Ludworth listed is in Derbyshire, which doesn't sound like yours, Marian |

Have you tried your local council web site. This sometimes lists family history districts. Mine is manchester which is a big council, but it might be worth checking. catherine |

Hi I have just had information on 2 rellies one born in Ludworth, Durham and the other Wingate, Durham. Does anyone know off the top of their head where they would most likely to be registered. The dates are 1849 and 1855. I have looked at FreeBMD's info and several other sites but it does not list those areas specifically. Have rung Durham records office but they are closed and I am eager to continue with my online research. Karen |
