Haven't come across this one before, butI wonder if the 'rounds' refers to Insurance rounds, Rent collector's rounds, etc.? Perhaps he was in charge of a group of employees with a 'round'? Let us know if you find out what it is. Janet Northamptonshire |

Hi,you lot out there seem to be so on the ball so wondered if you could help,please.On researching my G.Grandfather(who was military)got a shock when 1901 census shows him as a "rounds inspector".Not sure whether this means ammunition rounds and obviously he was no longer a soldier.Any one got any ideas on his job please,many thanks again for all your help the other night being new to this site I can't believe how brill you've all been.Regards Elaine. |
