I am trying to trace Matthew Butterworth (Woollen Manufacturer). He was already deceased in 1879, stated on his sons' (Frank) second marriage certificate and on the first one there is just a line through father and occupation so I presume he had already died in 1868. I cannot find any death record for him either. He would have been my gt gt gt grandfather so any information would be very gratefully received. Best wishes Helen Strong |
