On the LDS site I searched All Resources, All Countries and got nothing. That includes the 1881 census. If it's from the 1901, it's probably a transcription error |

went into google and entred 'surname' this will give you loads of sites to search. Surname web lists a whole load of names but no Dipwood, also checked LDS which have no record of that name.I think it could be a spelling error. Mary |

Thanks everyone for trying. I have also tried all those things and more. The name Dipwood is clearly written on a birth certificate as mother's maiden name. Diane |

'Digwood' isn't an uncommon name, could be a mistranscription? |
