Hi Jackie Have you looked on the 1881,there is a Jeophry Hulmes age 25 living in macclesfield it says Married ,the only other person in the house is an Agnes Shaw ? age 28 relationship to head says other? it says shes also married?, I checked the 1891 and found them both still in Manchester but down as husband and wife age 40, no sign of any children there with them. p.s their surname on the 1891 is down as Holmes |

My great grandfather Elias Shaw Hulme was born in Princess street Macclesfield in 1890. I believe shaw was his middle name? His father was Geoffrey he had two brothers Elijah and Titus and a sister Beatrice. I cannot find them on the 1901 census and thought that they may be on the 1891. Any help gratefully recieved.
