The last mention of my Gt Gt Grandfather Abraham Allen is as the Father of his son on his marriage certificate in 1869 although I actually 'lost' him before then when he absconded to France in 1842 and I can find no mention of him and wife Ellen (Helen) returning. He was born in 1808 in Belper Derby. Is it possible for anyone to look him and/or Ellen up on the 1861 or 1871 census (they are not on the 1881). Any other suggestions would be very welcome.
