Recently a very kind gentleman (Robin Haigh) sent me some info regarding a marriage certificate and although I had the year, quarter, husbands name, district and volume number, unfortunately the page number could not be deciphered at all. I cheekily e-mailed ONS with my predicament and they told me that this would be enough info. I quickly printed off their reply and sent it off with request for record so no one else could query it and I received my certificate this week. Excellent! It is definitely my relative and verifies other leads. Basically I thought I would not get anywhere with this one but if you don't ask, you don't get and hopefully others out there may have joy if they thought they had hit a brick wall! Helen, Berkshire |
